When will Ethereum merge?

As of July 2022, the Ethereum core developers updated the Ethereum merge timeline with a tentative launch date sometime during the week of September 19th, 2022. There have been three testnets that were scheduled to be merged over the last couple of months and two of them have been successfully merged already.

When will ETH be merged with eip-1559?

Before this 2.0 upgrade, Ethereum received another update in the London hard fork on August 5, 2021. This update implemented EIP-1559, which changed Ethereum's transaction fee system, and kickstarted the Ethereum burning of ETH. Ethereum's final Merge date is scheduled for September 15/16.

Will 'the merge' happen?

Experts have been anticipating an event known as "the merge" for quite some time, and Monday's launch carries reignited hope that the merge will indeed happen. A Ropsten testnet merge was announced to happen June 8, preparing for the final merge, set for sometime later this year.
